Why I still use a 2009 netbook
It sits on my desk next to a modern laptop that is ten times faster. Every morning, I open the netbook instead.
The keyboard is cramped, the screen is tiny, and the battery lasts an afternoon at best. But there is nothing else on it: no notifications, no tabs, just a blank page and the words I came to write.
Some machines are not meant to be fast. They are meant to be quiet.
